Educational Technology > Work With Us > Media Production

DL&I’s media production studio offers video recording and post-production services for BU faculty and staff interested in developing digital or blended learning courses.

Whether you’re looking to create a training video, a course introduction, or some high-quality animations, our Instructional Production Services (IPS) team will work with you to develop concepts, scripts, and help you through the production process.

Featured Services

Our full-service studio is located at 141 Bay State Road, and features:

  • Two 4K cameras
  • A variety of backdrops (including a green screens) Professional grade lighting and recording equipment, and
  • A large format teleprompter

The IPS team is available to record both in-studio and on location. In addition to recording and editing, the IPS team offers consultations on how you can produce your own multimedia course materials.

MultiMedia Capture and Distribution

We support multiple platforms for capturing lectures. You can do it from your own laptop or in a classroom fitted with the appropriate Echo360 equipment.

We also support BU’s powerful multimedia distribution platform, MyMedia, which includes its own easy-to-use lecture capture tool. MyMedia is a great platform for faculty to use to store, share, and stream video content for students through Blackboard Learn. You can also use it to ask students to create and upload video assignments for private viewing. It offers powerful captioning and tagging tools, and is a great alternative to YouTube. To start using Mymedia, just go to mymedia.bu.edu and log in using your BU username and password.

If you’re thinking about exploring how to gain the time and student engagement benefits of flipping a class please contact teamips@bu.edu.
