Lessons learned from internal and external mergers
Educational technology is a field in transformation everywhere. New pedagogies, technological progress, and rising economic pressures affect the higher education landscape, creating significant challenges and opportunities for institutional transformation. Come learn about the ways educational technology has been transforming at BU and BC and explore lessons that might apply to your own institution.
We will discuss:
- Internal transformations affecting Educational Technology departments at both Boston University and Boston College, and
- The role Boston University’s Educational Technology team played in the recent external merger of with Wheelock College.
In both cases there were a number of key challenges to be surmounted, demonstrating the importance of Educational Technology departments in enabling institutional transformation.
