Connecting Faculty with LfA Coaches
Peer-to-peer learning promotes engagement, collaborative thinking, and can be mutually fulfilling. This is the foundation for the LfA Faculty Coaches model.
Boston University faculty have access to practice-based, LfA peer coaches throughout BU Schools and Departments across both campuses. The role of a LfA Faculty Coach is to provide faculty training and support, and serve as a peer guide to their cohort (the faculty members assigned to each coach) throughout the summer and fall semesters. LfA Faculty Coaches are committed to information sharing and are available to assist BU faculty in the following manner:
- advise faculty within their cohort (the faculty members assigned to each coach) on relevant pedagogical approaches and technological needs for LfA model,
- point faculty to appropriate resources within the Center from Teaching & Learning, Educational Technology, and other related units, and
- direct faculty to appropriate training opportunities within the Center from Teaching & Learning, Educational Technology, and other related units.
The following list of LfA Faculty Coaches has been established and sorted by School/College. Please reach out to Coaches within your practice area. For additional questions, email ctl@bu.edu.
