Caitlin FeeleyEducational games are a new facet of the educational technology field. Caitlin Feeley of MIT’s Education Arcade is coming to BU on Friday, March 24 to share her knowledge about using gaming for education. Educational gaming is particularly effective for enhancing engagement, but there is a sometimes overwhelmingly wide range of pedagogical approaches and game designs available to choose from. Caitlin has used educational gaming to engage students, ranging from middle school students to lower income adults. At the Technology Showcase on March 24 she will share examples of her own uses of educational gaming, and present some of the philosophies involved in the design of Education Arcade’s products.

Don’t miss this peek into the future of student engagement. Light refreshments will be served
