Incubating Tomorrow's Learning at BU
The Digital Learning Initiative has been working with Boston University’s innovative schools, departments, and individual faculty since 2013 to incubate projects that break new ground in teaching and learning. We are pleased to offer grants, course development, and project management support in areas that include: MOOCs, project-based learning, active learning, advising & mentoring, lifelong learning, global connections, and digital infrastructure.
We offer funding and development support for projects that address new venues for education and extend the reach of both residential and online learning. Our projects are based on three strategic areas of focus:
- Expanding academic flexibility
- Leveraging BU-specific assets, and
- Supporting the development of BU’s global signature
We also support the development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) aimed at unlimited, global learner participation through edX.
