BU Educational Technology has concluded our investigation into different ePortfolio platforms. We investigated several competing products, including standalone portfolio systems competing with Digication, portfolio systems integrated with assessment-management and learning-management systems, and independent web platforms not devoted to portfolios, and we found that none of them had sufficient advantages to merit a change from Digication.
Educational Technology will be holding open trainings on the Digication ePortfolio system, covering Digication’s brand-new interface; creating courses, templates and assignments; and the Blackboard building block. Digication, BU’s ePortfolio software, now allows Google app documents, including Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, Google Forms and more, to be embedded within an ePortfolio module. Students can create, share, and collaboratively edit a document in Google Docs and have the result be pushed to the portfolio, with the original revision history still available in Google Docs. You
