Teaching with XR Faculty

Teaching with XR Faculty Demonstration & Exploration Series

Extended Reality is advancing rapidly and according to industry experts, the future of learning and workplace training is connected to immersive learning technology.  Digital Learning & Innovation (DL&I) has seen a surge of interest and Incubator proposals from Schools and Colleges across Boston University looking to explore augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR), and integrate these technologies into the teaching and learning experience.

With this trend in mind, DL&I is hosting the Teaching with XR Faculty Demonstration & Exploration series. The series will explore the purposeful use of AR, VR, XR technologies in higher education.

Who should attend? Boston University faculty interested in learning about XR and use of these technologies in higher education.

In a classroom setting, you will:

  • Explore how virtual reality technology is being piloted at BU and test software designed for immersive learning.
  • Experience the technology via hands-on and interactive education; build technical skills and investigate ways to incorporate XR into practice.
  • Engage with BU faculty, Educational Technologists and Instructional Designers; share your vision, ask questions and collaborate with BU colleagues, and XR early adopters.
